Bill what the contract says, no more and no less

Invoices for each billing period are drafted for you, and you decide whether an overrun gets a warning or a hard stop. Every invoice you link to a contract counts against the commitment once it's issued, so you can see what's left.

Runs in your browser. In the cloud or on your own server, it's the same IWB.

01

Know when an invoice would exceed the contract

See how much of the commitment you've invoiced and what's left on each line, right on the contract. IWB compares the VAT-exclusive total of issued invoices linked to the contract with the committed amount. You can also cap the quantity on each line and choose Off, Warn, or Block separately for amount and quantity overruns. Block stops order confirmation and invoice issuance.

  • Only issued invoices count as consumption
  • Saving a draft isn't blocked; the check runs when an order is confirmed or an invoice is issued
  • The same check applies to Sales and Purchasing documents

02

Bill every period once, and only once

When a period comes due, IWB prepares its invoice as a draft by default, and you review and issue it. Monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual schedules are checked every day, or you can run a schedule right away. Automatic issuing stays off until you turn it on for a schedule. Four layers of protection stop the same period from being invoiced twice.

  • The period label is printed on the invoice in Turkish, such as "2026 Ekim" for October 2026
  • Each invoice carries the exchange rate from the moment it was created

03

Have stamp tax and withholding calculated for you

Enter the period's work amount, and IWB deducts the advance recovery, retention, stamp tax, and withholding tax to arrive at the net payable. The same deduction chain applies to interim, final, and supplementary progress billings. Approval locks the deductions, and corrections go through a new progress billing with the amounts reversed.

Enable progress billing where needed

Progress billing fields are turned on in the contract type settings. They're off in the built-in types.

04

Know which terms changed, and why

Every amendment to an active contract needs a reason, whether it changes the duration, the committed amount and its tolerance, the payment terms, or the price list. The contract's recorded exchange rate stays the same. Renewing a contract opens a new draft and leaves the previous one untouched. The two contracts stay linked, so you can follow the chain in either direction.

05

Don't forget bond releases after acceptance

When you approve provisional acceptance, IWB opens a release task for half of the performance bond (kesin teminat), and final acceptance opens one for the rest. On termination, the termination type, not the user, decides whether the bond is released or forfeited.

  • Acceptance types: provisional, partial, final, end of warranty period
  • Termination types: contractor default, force majeure, mutual agreement
  • Bond release is tied to acceptance

06Document flow

Invoice progress billings exactly as approved

When you approve a progress billing (hakediş), its deductions are locked and the retention is posted to the collateral ledger in Finance. When you invoice it, the invoice is created as a draft in Sales.

08Capabilities

What you can do with Contracts

  • Contract price list

On documents linked to the contract, line prices come from the contract's price list first.

  • Documents from lines

Create a draft quote, sales order, or purchase order from the contract lines.

  • Cash flow

Future periods on the billing schedule show up in cash flow as commitments.

  • Expiry alerts

By default, you get alerts 30 and 7 days before the end date, and an alert can be turned into a task.

  • Stamp tax

IWB suggests the stamp tax on a signed contract and prepares a draft journal entry.

  • Multi-year work

At provisional or final acceptance, IWB suggests the revenue and withholding transfer.

  • Contract value privacy

Only the roles you authorize can see the contract value.

  • IWB AI

Reads contracts, lines, amendments, and progress billings, and asks for your approval before it creates or changes a record.

09Compliance

Deduction rates and acceptance steps come preset

The deduction chain and acceptance steps are built into IWB, and you can adjust deduction types and rates when you need to. Invoices created from a contract go through the same invoice rules as any invoice in Sales.

  • Law 488Stamp tax of 0.948% on contracts and progress billings, capped per document
  • Law 4735Public procurement contracts: performance bond release at provisional and final acceptance, and release or forfeiture on termination depending on the termination type
  • Income Tax Law 94/35% withholding on multi-year construction and repair work, with a suggested revenue and withholding transfer at acceptance
  • Law 5510 art. 90Unpaid Social Security Institution (SGK) premiums and public debts under Law 6183 art. 22/A are offset against progress billings when the conditions apply
  • The price escalation basis is stored on the contract as text and isn't calculated in progress billings

Frequently asked questions

Does every contract have progress billing?

No. Progress billing is a field group you turn on in the contract type settings. It's off in the built-in types, so you turn it on for the types that need it.

Does IWB calculate price escalation in progress billings?

No. The price escalation basis is stored on the contract as text, and progress billings don't calculate it.

Are recurring invoices issued automatically?

By default, the schedule creates draft invoices and you issue them. If you want automatic issuing, turn it on per schedule. The same period can't be invoiced twice.

Can I create a contract from a quote?

No. Quotes and opportunities don't convert into contracts. You create the contract separately and link it to an existing quote, order, or invoice. In the other direction, you can create quotes and orders from the contract lines.

How do I keep track of contracts that are ending?

By default, you get an alert 30 and 7 days before the end date. You set the threshold, and an alert can also open a task. Contracts past their end date that are still active show on the dashboard's "Ended but active" card.
