My work

See what's waiting for you today in one list

Don't let an approval or a support ticket run out of time without you noticing. Your tasks, documents awaiting your approval, support tickets, and activities line up in My work by due date, with overdue work at the top.

Runs in your browser. In the cloud or on your own server, it's the same IWB.

01

Plan your day without opening each record

Decide which day each item gets done without opening its record. The board groups your work by due date, and dropping a task or activity on today's or tomorrow's column moves it to that day. If you drop a card in the wrong column, "Undo" in the message at the bottom of the screen restores the old date and time.

  • Use "Reschedule" in the row menu to move a task or activity to today, tomorrow, or next Monday
  • Use "Pick a date…" in the same menu to choose any day
  • Each column header shows how many items are in that due date group

02

Don't miss tasks where you're mentioned

Tasks where you're mentioned wait in their own list until you read them. When someone @mentions you in a task comment or description, the mention arrives in the "Mentioned" tab, with the newest at the top. Click a row to open the task in a preview, and "Mark as read" clears it here and in your notifications.

  • "Following": tasks you watch or collaborate on
  • "Assigned by me": tasks and activities you created for someone else
  • "Unowned": tasks no one has taken yet, which you can take with "Claim"

03

See what your team has planned without asking

Know ahead of time who on your team is meeting which customer, and when. The "My team" tab sorts your open activities and your teammates' by due date, with overdue ones at the top. You can open the same list as a board or a calendar too.

  • Overdue, Today, Upcoming, and Completed filters are listed on the left with their counts
  • When you complete an activity, you write the result and schedule the next step in the same window
  • Jump from a row to its linked record, such as a quote or an opportunity

Know what's next on your list

  • Calendar view

See dated work on a monthly calendar, and drag a task or activity to another day to move it.

  • Complete from the row

Close a task or activity with the round mark on its row. If a task has open subtasks, you choose whether to complete all of them or only that task.

  • Waiting time

Approval and mention rows show how many days the item has been waiting.

  • Filters and saved views

Filter by priority, due date, and linked record type, and save the views you check often.

  • Narrow by source

In the "Source" group on the left, pick only approvals, only support tickets, or only tasks.

  • Badge

The My work badge on the menu and home screen counts assigned work that's overdue or due today, the first two groups in the list.

  • Daily digest

If you've chosen the daily digest email, it also includes how many items in My work are overdue, due today, and due tomorrow.

  • Add a task

Add a task from the "Assigned to me" tab. With the "Today" filter on, the new task is due today.

Frequently asked questions

What shows up in My work?

My work collects tasks and activities assigned to you, documents waiting for your approval, and support tickets you own. Depending on your modules, tender documents, lab analyses, service orders, and returned expenses join them, for 20 item types in total. Work from modules you can't access doesn't appear in the list.

Can I approve directly from My work?

Clicking an approval row opens that request in your approval inbox. You approve, reject, or request changes there. My work shows you what is waiting and for how many days.

Which cards can I move on the board?

Drop a task or activity card on today's or tomorrow's column to move its due date there. Drop a task on the undated column to clear its due date, and move an activity to another day, since activities require one. An approval card takes its due date from the step's time limit in the approval flow, and a support card from the SLA resolution deadline.

Can I see my team's work too?

My work is personal and shows your own work. Your team's calls, meetings, and site surveys are on the "My team" tab in Activities, which lists only activities you're allowed to see. Tasks you gave to others are on the "Assigned by me" tab.

How does it look on a phone?

In a phone browser, the list becomes cards with the source and title, plus the code, due date, and priority if the item has them. The tabs scroll in their own row, and the time and source filters open from the "Scope" button.
