Plan production and know what each order costs

Your plan shows material shortages and overloaded work centers up front: requirements planning (MRP) suggests what to buy and what to make, and IWB schedules orders against each work center's capacity. IWB locks the expected cost when an order goes into production, and every completion waits in your accountant's approval list to be posted as a journal entry.

Runs in your browser. In the cloud or on your own server, it's the same IWB.

01

Let only authorized users see your BOMs

Mark a BOM as confidential, and only the users you've given permission can see what's in it. Everyone else sees the contents masked on the BOM card, in the BOM tree, in exports, and on production order lines. Each BOM line takes a fixed, per-batch, percentage, or formula quantity (for example, width × length / 1,000,000 = m² of glass).

  • The formula is calculated once when the production order opens, then stays fixed
  • Order lines are copied from the BOM, so later BOM changes don't alter open orders

02

Keep rework and disassembly costs on the books

Disassembly, conversion, repackaging, and rework orders go through the same completion and accounting steps as a manufacturing order. If the BOM has operations, opening the order creates one work order per operation. The material status view shows stock in the production warehouse and the source warehouse side by side.

  • Complete an order in parts, and close the remainder when the job is done
  • Open a material transfer from the material status view

03

Skip the end-of-shift paperwork

Operators log output, waste, scrap, and downtime at the workstation as the work happens. They select their workstation, open a shift, scan a barcode or QR code to find the job, then start and finish it. Waste, scrap, and downtime each need a reason from a predefined list, and output gets a new lot with scanned serial numbers.

  • Full-screen view with no menus, built for tablets and handheld terminals
  • Barcode and QR scanners work like a keyboard
  • A wrong entry stays on record and is canceled with a reversal
  • Using the shop floor screen takes a separate permission, off by default

04

Spot overloaded work centers while you plan

Weeks that exceed capacity are marked in red, and the daily breakdown flags each overloaded day. IWB schedules orders forward, day by day, for each work center, and reports any order it can't fit along with the reason. At a required quality check, only output entry is locked until a result is entered.

  • "Passed" or "Conditionally accepted" allows output entry, and for a lot check the quarantined lot is released
  • "Failed" keeps output entry locked, and IWB suggests scrap or rework

05

Find what pushed an order over its planned cost

Compare planned and actual cost for an order in one report. When the order opens, IWB records the expected cost of materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead, then locks it once the order goes into production. The report splits the difference into material usage, material price, labor, and overhead.

  • Variance is an analysis report and doesn't post to the ledger
  • Labor and overhead are applied as time × hourly rate
  • Cost analysis takes a separate permission, off by default

Posting stays in your accountant's hands

In manufacturing orders, every completion reaches your accountant's approval list as a separate document. Once posted, the journal entry debits 152 Finished goods. It credits 150 Raw materials and supplies and the 721 and 731 cost transfer accounts of the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts.

06

Catch material shortages early

The suggestion list shows the latest date to start buying or making, and flags suggestions that are past it. MRP pulls demand from sales orders, production order components, and project budgets, and adds CRM opportunity forecasts if you turn that setting on. It treats safety stock as the floor when it calculates net requirements and shows the demand behind every suggestion. The suggestions you pick become purchase requisitions, draft production orders, or transfer orders.

  • Each run is a snapshot: the quantity you approve matches what you saw on screen
  • When planning by warehouse, IWB first tries to cover the need from free stock in another warehouse

07Document flow

No one retypes the order between departments

MRP reads the sales order as demand and suggests a draft production order, or you can open the order directly from the sales order line. If the bill of materials (BOM) has operations, the order is split into one work order per operation. When you complete it, IWB records the consumption and finished-goods stock entries, and the completion goes to your accountant's approval list.

Trace a late part to the BOMs that use it

Ask which orders are in production, which BOMs use a component, or which work center is over capacity. IWB AI asks for your approval before it opens, starts, completes, or cancels an order.

IWB AI doesn't set up BOMs, routings, or work centers, and it doesn't run requirements planning (MRP).

Answers your questions

  • Which orders are in production right now?Searching production orders
  • Which BOMs use the powder coating mix?Finding where it's used
  • Which work centers are over capacity in the coming weeks?Calculating capacity load

Acts with your approval

  • Open production order
  • Start production
  • Complete production
  • Cancel production order

Every action comes to you first as an approval card. IWB AI doesn't create or change records without your approval.

09Capabilities

What you can do with Manufacturing

  • Alternate BOMs

IWB picks the BOM by branch, quantity range, and effective date.

  • Order-specific BOMs

Created from a sales order line, used only for that order, and kept out of the catalog.

  • Shared routings

Define routings separately from BOMs and share them across products. Steps can include a quality check.

  • Where used

See which BOMs a component appears in, and download the tree as a CSV file.

  • Potency adjustment

IWB suggests how much to weigh out based on the lot's measured potency, and you make the call.

  • Waste and downtime reasons

Set up waste, scrap, downtime, and breakdown reasons as a tree. Operators pick from it on the shop floor screen, and waste, scrap, and downtime entries require a reason.

  • Master production schedule

Turn it on in settings. Committed quantities either consume actual demand or add to it.

  • Data quality panel

See the parameters that throw off planning, grouped together, and fix them with bulk edits.

Frequently asked questions

Does MRP plan capacity too?

No. MRP calculates material requirements. You track capacity load and finite scheduling in Manufacturing, on the "Capacity", "Station schedule", and "Planning board" screens.

Does the shop floor screen work offline?

No. The shop floor screen runs in the browser and needs a connection. If an entry is retried after the connection drops, it isn't recorded twice. Using the screen takes a separate permission, which is off by default.

Can I track subcontracted production?

Yes. You mark a work center as subcontracted and link the subcontractor's vendor account and warehouse to it. A draft subcontracting purchase order opens from the work order, and the goods receipt records the return from the subcontractor.

Can everyone see my BOMs?

Not if you mark them confidential. Users without permission can't see a confidential BOM's contents on the BOM card, in the tree, in exports, or on production order lines. Viewing them takes a separate permission, which is off by default.

How do I give a customer a promise date?

When you check availability on a sales order line, IWB looks at free stock first, then available to promise (ATP), then capable to promise (CTP). CTP takes the BOM's components into account and adds production lead time. Giving a promise date doesn't reserve stock.
